And the "real" Amy shows her true colors

Recently posted on Amy's site in response to my opinion of her severely naiive and wrongful depiction of the situation in Guatemala:

Third Generation,Take your happy adopter ass elsewhere. I don't want you here. I read at least twenty news articles. Then I went to the Joint Council For International Children Services, The National Council for Adoption and the State Department for additional information. I don't want to live in Guatemala. I imagine the INS would say the same thing. Quit fucking adopting from Guatemala. For your information, I am a Desert Storm Vet that did not vote for the asshole in office. I sure as hell don't support this war. Go your fucking ass elsewhere.

Third Generation says:
Glad you know how to read Amy - go to the library and you can find a book about just about anything you want to hear to agree with your sorry point of view of adoption. Getting off your fat lazy behind and meeting the people who are actually involved in this, and actually doing something about is how things get done that last and how "real" people triumph over the system.

And referring to the President of the United States as you have above, while endorsing his government agency reports shows just how much of a poor and mixed-up person you actually are. I suppose you simply worked on the back lines and served mess? Because I sure wouldn't trust you with real marching orders when you refer to the Commander in Chief as you have. If you hate the establishment, then why do you use their data to formulate and push your opinion?
Once again, whatever is convenient to write about if it "sounds" good, by all means use it for your convenient cause, because your cause outside opening birth records is moot. And with your undeducated positions, you've watered that down and lost respect.

You have a nice day.

The govt. wants us to fight amoungst ourselves, they want us to turn against eachother because we can be our worst enemies. Do not give into the govt. Please. Adoptees need to be in unity, if we ever want the nation and world to treat us equal to the non adopted.

As an adoptee, I believe you can understand what I am saying.

As an adoptive father, I also believe you can understand by wanting this for your child as well. ( possibly children, i don't know your story TOO well )

Amy is an amazing activist, she does her homework, i see her passion, her research, her education on adoptee rights. She is fighting for US. Now, i haven't read the entire disagreement between the two of you on eachothers blogs because time is a problem for me now, but it kills me seeing two adoptees at eachother.

I've been there. And i try my hardest not to go back. We need to be together, walk in unity, to be treated equal.

Please think about that.

My Son's Heart

Hello Friends! This space is for all people (couples or not) that are directly or indirectly involved in processes of adoption of children. Or anyone interested in simply to help improve the welfare of the children concerned. You can count on a little of their stories and share the joys and difficulties. Come help us and be helped. Alone we are isolated, but in unity we will be comforted. A hug to everyone.

I feel a bit like this isn't the place to leave this comment, but at the same time it is, because some of the things I have to say about my adoption, about adoption, aren't pretty. They're not all ugly either, though. But it seems like when you say something critical it's easy for others to think you're "mean" and "angry."

Seriously!

I came here though because I saw your link on a blogroll, and because I'm talking a bit about my own experiences as a Korean adoptee over at The Lit Pub, where our primary goal is to talk about books. But the book I'm representing, Lidia Yuknavitch's The Chronology of Water, opens with a stillbirth, with daughter-loss. And since my biological mother died giving birth to me, I wrote there today about mother-loss, and why that connected me to Lidia's writing.

I hope you'll come check us out, and I hope you'll feel compelled to comment. The website, if nothing else, is created out of a need to connect.

Sincerely,
Molly
